I'm using totem-gstreamer now as I was having problems with the xine
player and I changed it out trying to get it back, (xine), working;
ended up having to rename the xine directory and doing a fresh install.
Xine works fine now, but still the no audio in Democracy. Everything
but Democracy seems to be playing fine. It is safe to say that
Democracy doesn't have audio with either of those two. (The xine crash
was due to me playing with audio drivers and selections in the xine
settings.)

I am running Feisty also, on a 3.2 Intel with a gig of RAM and GeForce
6800 with two 19" flat panels; I have been using Feisty from about the
halfway point, before release; following all the upgrades, almost daily
for the last three months or so. It worked perfect until the Python 2.5
upgrade and really never has worked right since then. I was able to
fake it out for a little bit but something else got upgraded, (can't
remember what right this minute, (poss dbus) that was the end of it) and
the patches only got the web portion back going so I could download the
feeds, but it wouldn't play them; I typically use xine to play the
downloads.

Even at that, there is still the issue of it crashing all the time, and
it seems like I am not the only one having both of these problems;
something is just a bittttttt flakey with it yet; hard to tell if the no
audio and crashes are related or not; I tend to think that it very well
MAY BE related; get the audio working completely right and it just might
quit crashing; pure speculation on my part, but still....
