I can confirm this behaviour, When trying to view fullscreen flash video in firefox the screen turns white. the sound of the video can be heard, but the system is left in an unusable state. Screen stays white, no reaction to keyboard or mouse.
This is on an Dell Optiplex GX620 with Intel Pentium D processor 4 GB memory and ATI HD2400 videocard fglrx driver is installed on the system.
