Kent, it sounds like your wireless card was not recognized by your
computer (which would explain why Enable Wireless didn't show and the
lshw command didn't show you a wireless card. If you still haven't got
it working, you can use this command to report a kernel bug:
ubuntu-bug linux
Or search first, as it's likely that someone else has the same issue and
there may already be a solution.
