Hi, I am not sure if my problem is the same, but since removing kernel
2.6.38-8-generic using Synaptic, rebooting and then reinstalling the
kernel using Synaptic again, GRUB has NOT been able to update the menu
list at startup.

No matter how many times I removed and reinstalled grub-pc/grub-common,
the menu stays stuck with an older kernel.

Please advise?
