This bug does *not* seem fixed for me. I'm running: google-chrome-stable - 11.0.696.68-r84545 xdg-utils - 1.1.0~rc1-2ubuntu3 Ubuntu 11.04 "natty"
Setting via chrome's internal "Make Google Chrome my default browser" button does *not* work. Setting via "sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser" does *not* work.
