It's a bit different. Steps to reproduce: :. Change from MSN to WLM; :. Restart Pidgin; :. Send some messages to any WLM contact; :. See Pidgin crashing with no warning.
Also running on xonsole I've found no warnings (even in .xsession- errors). I didn't remember what I saw in syslog, since ubuntu-bug would "bug" me telling that msn-pecan 0.1.2 isn't a genuine Ubuntu package. I'll redo the test and see what I can report.
