Hi Rob, I am kind of new to Ubuntu. I put in an error report. I do not know if all my comments saying I removed and reinstalled Samba4 using Synaptic and now it works - has been added to the discussion. If you have reinstalled Samba4, and tried to connect to MS-Windows drives, and were successful, then that is the test I used to verify everything was working. Alden
