I have an Asus A52Dr (a variant of the wider known K52Dr) with this wireless adapter (from lspci):
04:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01) If the signal goes lower than "four bars" in the network manager indicator, I loose the connection and I have to disconnect and rejoin my AP. I connection doesn't come up with four bars, it drops again in few seconds after starting getting traffic again (i.e., opening a Second Life viewer). Connection only gets stable when icon shows four bars. It never happened before upgrading from Maverick. Running Ubuntu 11.04 x86_64 with all updates (including proposed) applied. Wireless security is set to open, with a 128 bit WEP password encryption. No MAC filters. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/776834 Title: Natty drops wifi if signal not four bars -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
