(continuing from previous post) adding gmusicbrowser to the whitelist solves the problem
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray', 'gmusicbrowser']" actually it seems you should add manually every program you want in the systray.
