Open a conversation window from any protocol (checked with MSN and IRC personal message). 3. Write something and either submit and copy it from the conversation or copy it directly from the input box. (4. Optional: On Firefox, try to past it somewhere, for example on the search bar. It works.) 5. Close the Gaim (Pidgin) conversation window and try to past it again. It isn't working anymore.
