Seconded - I have a Tungsten T3 also. To have /dev/pilot and /dev/ttyUSB* created I have to manually load the visor module (and press the hotsync button on the cradle).
I'm quite sure that edgy didn't have this problem and loaded the visor module automatically. I'm having some problems getting the T3 to sync up at all...
