Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: redshift

It's not possible to start redshift via it's menu entry or via...

$ gtk-redshift
No clock applet was found.
Initialization of gnome-clock failed.
Trying next provider...
Latitude and longitude must be set.

Since Unity doesn't use the gnome-clock, you have to manually start gtk-
redshift for instance via

$ gtk-redshift -l 49.0080848:8.4037563
