Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

Using Feisty, with Gnome. This only happens when Beryl is active.
Amarok version:
Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.6
Amarok: 1.4.5

When certain analysers (between playback and volume controls, at the
bottom of amarok main window) are active, CPU usage of "Xorg" process
goes to 30%-80% and stays there as long as a part of the anayler is
visible (if hidden behind another window, CPU usage goes away).
Apparently, the bigger the amarok window, the more CPU is used.

In the standard amarok installation, the following analysers cause this usage:
Click on the analyser until the text "Click for analysers" is shown.
The next 4 analysers cause high CPU usage.
The remaining 3 do not cause it (Xorg process uses 3-10%).

After clicking a few times at the analyser, the following is displayed
in the terminal, but I don't know if it's related:

*********************************WARN_ONCE*********************************
File radeon_mm.c function radeon_mm_alloc line 216
Ran out of GART memory (for 1048576)!
Please consider adjusting GARTSize option.

** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
