Public bug reported:

The only Ubuntu change isn't needed anymore as the latest version from
Debian unstable builds correctly on Ubuntu.

Changelog entries since current oneiric version 4.0.3-1ubuntu2:

  * New upstream release
  * Remove symbols files for Qt and FOX toolkit GUI libraries. These GUI
    libraries are written in C++, which is known to cause unstable symbols
    files (closes: #618195).
