The problem here is that the x server's dpms settings don't seem to be
affected.  If the user selects "Put display to sleep when inactive for:
Never", it should also do the equivalent of running  "xset -dpms".  As
it is, if anyone *really* wants to prevent the display from turning off
(like on a media pc), this command must be run each time the system is
rebooted even though this option in gnome-power-manager has been
selected.
