Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
The laptop Dell Studio 1569 http://www.linlap.com/wiki/dell+studio+1569 has "VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 12)" VGA card. If I use both LCD and external HDMI-connected monitor (in panorama mode) - both LCD and the HDMI screen work properly. If I disable the LCD (Administration->Monitors->Select LCD->Select "Off"->press Apply), then *both* LCD and HDMI monitor become black! VNC session to the laptop from a different machine shows everything as if the LCD was disabled and the HDMI became my primary desktop. The feature worked in maverick and stopped working in natty. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: natty ** Tags added: natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772398 Title: Disabling LCD disables the HDMI monitor too -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
