The device that lost all your info is /dev/sdb1 (why change that, it might be /dev/hdc1) In my fstab it's: # /dev/hdc1 UUID=460B-E792 /media/musica vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 the only change that y did in fstab was, uid=xxxxx,gid=xxxxx that's all....
