software: Feisty final i386 alternate
hardware: Asus P5B mainboard with two Ethernet controllers
one is a Marvel 88e8001, it is connected to a DHCP server
the installer fails to receive DHCP answers for this controller, so
during the installation I have no network connection
after the installation, everything works fine; the Network Manager
automatically connects using this controller
