Hi Greg, I think you're confusing Ubuntu SSO client with Ubuntu One. The former is a generic auth service, that uses the Ubuntu logo (despite what app is calling it). The latter, is a specific app that uses the sso client as a service, and the logo can't be customized when calling SSO (see for example how the Software Center uses SSO as well).
The logo that is used by the SSO client service is the generic 'ubuntu- logo', which is not updated in the package that provides it. The ubuntu- sso-client package could provide a icon file itself, but since the ubuntu-logo is system wide available, I think is a better solution to update that logo instead of shipping a custom one.
