I merely came to complain about the generic desktop switcher icon; the icon should be more reflective of what it does. As for whether or not it should indicate which desktop is current, that kind of opens up a can of worms in so far as different people will have different desktop set ups; one row, two rows, three columns, a four by four grid of sixteen workspaces or all of them in a row. With a bit of coding it could be done though . . .
