Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
The desk tool update-manager window is displaying a strange message like (my Italian to English translate) "maybe it is not possible to check and download updates!" (see the pic, Italian language using http://img7.imageshack.us/i/updatemanager.png/), and when I click the install updates button, it does not ask me the administrator user password, so it fails and do nothing. I understood that it fails when it is trying to ask me the admin password, because of some strange error, it can not show me the password request form. So I'm looking for an update-manager error log file or I'm trying to launch it in debug mode. I think update-manager is talking bad with AptDaemon and dbus, or my AptDaemon have some problem.
