I can confirm that this bug still occurs. Although I've been using this
configuration for ~6 months, it bit me today. This is on a box running
Ubuntu server, with two bonded interfaces. Bond0 failed to come up after
a reboot, while bond1 did come up. After I got onto the box via bond1, a
reboot worked - both bond0 and bond 1 came up. However,
/var/log/messages still contains many lines of the below:
Apr 23 11:02:43 server1 kernel: [104080.510023] bonding: bond0: Warning:
Found an uninitialized port
and many lines of:
Apr 23 11:05:14 server1 kernel: [ 16.985610] bonding: bond0: doing
slave updates when interface is down.
