I have a similar problem to what's reported here, using Dapper (6.06
LTS) with tsclient 0.140-3ubuntu1. My system is fully up-to-date
according to the auto updater.
My only win2k machines have sp4, but it does operate correctly (under
RDPv5) when connecting to a windows 2003 server.
It appears very similar to the problem reported here:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=354010, although their
claim that the problem does not exist in tsclient-0.140-3 seems to not
be the case. I'd apply the patch mentioned in that thread, but I'm new
to Linux and have no idea WTF I am doing. :-) The patch is attached, but
please be sure not to give me credit for it... I didn't write it. It was
copied from http://www.fatal.se/pub/debian/fix-tsclient.diff
Oh... hmm. Evidently this is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tsclient/+bug/3143, in which
it is implied that a fix has been released.

However, I am unable to find a later version available for Dapper in the
Synaptic Package Manager or in
