Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
Putting "System Settings" at the end of the power-button menu makes it very easy to mistakenly click it instead of "Shutdown". Maybe I'm alone here, but I have repeatedly made the mistake of launching the System Settings rather than shutting down my machine since I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 two weeks ago. Otherwise, I think including it as an easy-to-get-to item in one of the primary menus is a great idea (similar to OSX). Perhaps you could move the "System Settings" option to the middle of the menu, between "Log Out" and "Switch user". Perhaps you could also include an "About This System" option in the same sub-group as "System Settings", "About This System" launching the System Monitor application on the "System" tab? Regardless, I think putting the most-often-used item at the end of a menu would increase usability. For that reason System Settings should not be there.
