Setting to Fix Released; this patch is included in Maverick and Natty. There may still be benefit in backporting it, but we'd need careful testing and defining good use cases. For a aestethic issue, I'm not sure it's worth spending time on this. As mentioned, the wireless network works, but just doesn't properly display signal level, due to the broadcom driver not playing nice.
