I'm running a: 06:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
I see the exact same symptoms: 1. Wireless disabled on startup. 2. Enable Wireless 3. No wireless networks are listed, Just "wireless is disabled" listed. 4. The work around above made no difference.
