Have the same problem with Acer TimelineX 1830T 1830T-38U4G50nki (LX.PTV02.330) KUbunty Natty x86_64, up-to-date Bluetooth adapter is not even visible in lsusb (only webcam 064e:a219 and cardreader 0bda:0138) Fn+F3 does not help.
I remember seeing this Bluetooth in lsusb some kernel versions ago. Now I am booted with 2.6.38-8.41-generic 2.6.38.2, and have -8.42 installed for next reboot - probably should reboot soon ?
