Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Since yesterday I got this message window: I haven't tryed yet to
reproduce it. But it showed up twice without any actions from myself. I
think it is the sheduled update check. Normally I check for updates
several times a day via synaptic and apt-get. As soon as the bug
reapaers. i will take a screenshot of it. Today it was in the first 20
min after I started the computer.

feisty, kernel-386, upadate-manager ver. 59.20.

"Authentication failed

Authenticating the upgrade failed. There may be a problem with the
network or with the server."

The message was in german of course,
