Confirming. Launching ubuntuone-control-panel-gtk immediately starts ubuntuone-syncdaemon which in turn will create Ubuntu One folder. Can be easily reproduced by creating a new user on current machine, log into it, confirm that no Ubuntu One folder is present and then launch ubuntuone-control-panel-gtk. Ubuntu One folder will be created, syncdaemon will be started.
The presence of Ubuntu One folder causes ubuntuone-launcher to run syncdaemon on every startup. ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) Assignee: Roman Yepishev (rye) => Naty Bidart (nataliabidart) ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Also affects: ubuntuone-client Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client Assignee: (unassigned) => Naty Bidart (nataliabidart) ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/744731 Title: ubuntuone-syncdaemon running although I have no account -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
