I had the same "title" of bug but no GNOME 3 installed, running Unity
after todays (12th) updates. I was using LibreOffice and had several
crashes and one big freeze of system so i had to reset it (didn't know
what else to do). Then after rebooting theme was half-default and half-
old human style, icons were human style too. Another reboot and back to
normal and then this bug happend while i was trying to continue writing
my CV in LibreOffice :)

Since i haven't got GNOME 3 i reported bug here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptdaemon/+bug/759344, hope i
didn't do wrong.
