re Comment #1... > Perhaps theres is a mode switch for these kind of devices like many 3G modems
Given that it works fine on Windows and MacOS, as a mass storage USB device, I think this is different. I also note that it works perfectly on Solaris UNIX: both the internal flash and SD card are mounted. > Could you please try the following to see if the device itself can make this > switch. > When you insert the card, the recording media changeover display will appear. > Change over to the SD card > and plug the device into an Ubuntu computer. The latter; it makes no difference. > Perhaps getting the lsusb output will show what kind of card reader is being user (perhaps it is The lsusb output is shown above; the LS-11 shows up as a simple mass- storage device; no sign of a separate device for the card reader. I imagine that's because it's a single USB device, which should appear as a single SCSI target, via the mass storage driver, but with two LUNs? Yet that seems not to be properly enumerated on Linux, but it works fine on Solaris. Oh, it also does not work on Debian, I note. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/669761 Title: Ubuntu can only access the internal memory but not the the flash card on Olympus LS5 & LS11 series. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
