Tank you f or your help. I am a Linux beginner and I wrong something in following your suggestion.
First I check the CD directly with the command: md5sum /dev/cdrom the terminal print out: 59d15a16ce90c8ee97fa7c211b7673a8 that correspond to the fourth list of Ubuntu 10.10 hashes. Then I tray to check the iso file. The terminal at the command: cd download_directory print: File o directory non esistente. I don’t know what to do. Can you kindly give mi some further help. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you download. Could you please visit https://help.ubuntu. com/community/HowToMD5SUM follow the instructions and report back as to whether or not the MD5SUM verified? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. https: //bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/754729 Title: computer turn off during nomal operation Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: ubuntu 10.10 downloaded by internet, at the end of installation in the screen appeared: warning [2811.910012]end_request:I/O error.dev sro,sector529976 . . ....... ecc... .
