It's a misunderstanding to see this as a QT stack problem. The same issue is present under GNOME. It's pure coincidence that the other bugs were made a duplicate of this one.
I am using GNOME, the examples that I posted in my original bug report were also from GNOME. I don't think this has very much to do with Qt, although the title of this bug suggests otherwise.
