When I open nautilus, it consumes almost 100% cpu and so does unity- panel-service. Nautilus takes at least 20 seconds to respond to any command (change folder, expand folder tree, etc.), taking the cpu to 100% each time.
I don't know how to run unity-panel-service through strace. I tried "strace unity-panel-service" but unity-panel-service is not a command. I ran nautilus through it but strace exits before nautilus is closed, so I don't know if it is of any help. Let me know if you'd like me to run any specific command. ** Attachment added: "Result of 'strace -o nautilus.strace -f nautilus'" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/754377/+attachment/2011834/+files/nautilus.strace -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/754377 Title: unity-panel-service consuming 100% CPU when attempting to scrub through indicators. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
