Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vlc
Did some preference setting changes in vlc. Downloaded but not applied skins [from site]. Closed all windows -but- noticed something still showing in top panal.."File, yadda, yadda" Tick vlc icon from side panal and compiz started crashing and vlc won't start. Doesn't show in system monitor. This shows in 'left-open' terminal from starting 'ubuntu-bug vlc', when ticking vlc icon: (firefox-bin:2406): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: dbusmenu_menuitem_property_set_shortcut: assertion `gtk_accelerator_valid(key, modifier)' failed ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: vlc 1.1.8-2ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-7.39-generic 2.6.38 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-7-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Apr 7 19:10:25 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Beta amd64 (20110402) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: vlc UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: vlc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug compiz natty running-unity vlc -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/754234 Title: vlc crashing compiz -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
