Binary package hint: vlc

Did some preference setting changes in vlc.
Downloaded but not applied skins [from site].
Closed all windows -but- noticed something still showing in top panal.."File, 
yadda, yadda"
Tick vlc icon from side panal and compiz started crashing and vlc won't start.
Doesn't show in system monitor.

This shows in 'left-open' terminal from starting 'ubuntu-bug vlc', when ticking 
vlc icon:
