Hi, I'm having the same issue here. Kubuntu 11.04 beta 1 on Lenovo S10 with Realtek ALC269. No application plays sound. I checked Alsamixer for the levels and everything seems OK there. In KMix the application playing sound shows up and the level bar is all the way up. It doesn't seem related to bug 736349 in any way. Let me know if I can provide further information to help.
