What is the status on this bug after 7 years? >From what I understand (correct me if I am wrong) the solution is to install >either nscd or libnss-ldapd. While both of these seem to work, they are not >acceptable solutions because it affects the rest of the system. And why should thunderbird even care what the controlling backend auth module is in the first place?
