I'm also affected, closing and re-opening the lid causes the display to flicker in irregualar intervals. I' using an Acer 1825 with an Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) c.
Calling sudo get-edid, however, seems to fix the problem.
