Some additional information: Both of the files http://kubuntu.org/packages/koffice- latest/dists/edgy/Release and http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde- latest/dists/edgy/Release exist, and both of them contain the entry restricted/binary-i386/Packages
Maybe they are malformed, but the error message is wrong in any case. Later I will try what happens if I remove them.
