I have the same issue on maverick since the update to 10.0.648.133~r77742. Chromium does not show the new tab, extensions, plugins page. It does show settings and starts loading pages if I type an address. It never finishes loading a page. The process does not exit when I exit the browser and has to be terminated by ctrl-c or kill.
