In GConf, /apps/gnome-power/manager/ can_suspend and can_hibernate are
both set to true.

frogzoo, I don't think that they are disabled by default - AFAIK they
are enabled if the computer is known to be able to hibernate/suspend.
After all, I *do* get these options in Dapper (i.e. this is a
regression).

Please ask for any information required to get to the bottom of this.
