Hmm to me that sounds all around wrong. Why is it appropriate for an
application to supply a color icon but not a monochrome icon? And it
seems very odd that you would have to make an explicit exception in the
indicator instead of it looking for a "-symbolic" or "-panel" icon by
default then falling back. But I guess whatever needs to happen
technically to make it work is what needs to happen.
