Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx

I have a hp p1230 monitor attached to an NVidia Quadro4. The system is
running the latest build of fiesty. I have installed the restricted
drivers for the NVidia card. 3d rendering works like a charm (tested
with blender). However, the monitor is capable of 2048x1536 resolution,
and ubuntu will only let me select up to 1024 by 768. Dapper Drake
correctly detected and enabled the 2048x1536 pixel resolution.

** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
