Binary package hint: akregator

Akregator is part of my (gnome) session. Most of the time, when I log
in, I get a dialog box telling me that akregator already appears to be
running, that the metakit backend can't handle this, and asking me
whether I want to go ahead with starting it or not. I noticed recently
a crash dialog coming up when I log out, which is probably the reason
for this (ie it leaves a pid file or similar behind).

I've exams at the moment, sorry about the lack of solid information.
However, it would seem like a good idea to handle crashes, if at all
possible, by removing the pid file (or whatever it is) - in the pid file
case that could be done without relying on any application state which
might have become corrupted.
