Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-11-generic

I am using a USB wifi adapter, based on a Zydas chipset. The kernel
driver for this device is zd1211rw.

The most recent kernel upgrade (2.6.17-11) broke the support for this
device: it works relatively well for a few minutes, but the connection
is lost afterwards. In addition, after doing a "ifdown eth1" and then a
"ifup eth1" again, the connection does not come back up: it requires a
reset of the computer.

Note that this driver worked fine in kernel 2.6.17-10.

I have been unable to find anything that would explain this in
/var/log/messages. Please tell me if you require any other logs to be
attached to this post.

Thanks,
Dario
