This was the most resent crash I have seen and I cannot see anything which relates directly to MythTV or the USB connection to my hardware. This could mean that the system does have an intermittent hardware fault and that there is no software solution possible.
I will continue to gather diagnostics when I can in case there is some strange condition I am hitting. Hopefully I can find some new hardware to setup and run the same USB TV Recorder from using the same version of Ubuntu and MythTV. If the fault does no occur on that in a month of normal operation then I guess it would pretty much confirm if this is a hardware fault in the host PC or not. I will have to get hold of a second recorder to confirm if it is the USB device that is creating an issue but that can wait until after I have check that my host PC's hardware is a likely culprit. ** Attachment added: "Image of crash output from tty4; no obvious mythtv related output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/mythtv/+bug/713551/+attachment/1926366/+files/IMAG1128_small.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713551 Title: Xorg freeze; system locks and accepts no input, keyboard lights go out when key is touched -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
