Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
When i switch between workspaces with the keyboard, i expect the app under the cursor to receive the focus. It used to work, now, I have to move the mouse cursor out and in again for the app to receive the focus. It's terribly wrong and has nasty sides effects such as the side panel staying on top of fullscreen apps forever (until an action is made in that panel or the Super key is clicked - twice). Switching workspaces with the mouse via the workspace switcher works as expected though. As I said in 728428 #3, I use the follow focus mode, a large screen, a full size keyboard and a real mouse.. (a real desktop). My relevant compiz prefs look like this: === [core] s0_click_to_focus = false s0_raise_on_click = false s0_autoraise = false s0_raise_window_key = <Control>Up s0_lower_window_key = <Control>Down s0_hsize = 6 s0_vsize = 1 [rotate] s0_rotate_left_key = <Control>Left s0_rotate_right_key = <Control>Right [wall] s0_slide_duration = 0.000000 s0_left_key = <Control>Left s0_right_key = <Control>Right === ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: unity 3.6.6-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-7.36-generic 2.6.38 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-7-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, mousepoll, vpswitch, regex, animation, snap, expo, move, compiztoolbox, place, gnomecompat, wall, ezoom, workarounds, staticswitcher, resize, fade, scale, session, unityshell] Date: Mon Mar 21 08:39:57 2011 ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/usr/bin/tcsh SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2009-07-28 (600 days ago) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug natty running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/739205 Title: no focus when switching workspaces with the keyboard -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
