Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you look 'grep libvirt /var/log/daemon.log' and see if any messages there explain why libvirt failed? When you do '/etc/init.d /libvirt-bin start', does anything show up on console?
Is upgrading your maching to 10.04 feasible? ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/737547 Title: package libvirt-bin 0.6.1-0ubuntu5.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
