I also have this problem. I use a AR9285 wlan card in a ASUS laptop. The router I use is a FritzBox 7170. I also have trouble with a loss of connection, this happens randomly. Sometimes a lot, sometimes for a few hours there is a stable connection.
I use Natty 2.6.38-6 on Kubuntu.
