Unfortunately, I can confirm the problem on kernel 2.6.38-6 (natty) with Atheros AR9287. Tried on APs with WEP and with WPA2. It continuously disconnects from AP. In syslog I can find lines like: Mar 13 22:20:30 inquisitia-nout kernel: [52750.828766] ath: Failed to stop TX DMA in 100 msec after killing last frame Mar 13 22:20:30 inquisitia-nout kernel: [52750.828816] ath: Failed to stop TX DMA!
